My children had it before 12 months, and my siblings did too! Juice before we turned one. Now there is a new recommendation coming out from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) – babies younger than 1 years old should not drink any juice.
In the past, the AAP said babies under 6-months should not drink juice. Now pediatricians are recommending parents not give their children under a year any juice.
The doctors believe that there isn’t any nutritional benefit to babies consuming fruit juices under the age of one. They say consuming too much fruit juice may cause weight gain and tooth decay.
