Crews made repairs after warning portal was damaged by a motor vehicle

Thurmont, Md (KM) The Frederick County Department of Highway Operations says Roddy Road near the covered bridge in the Thurmont area has reopened.
Last Friday, February 28th, a vehicle struck and damaged the warning portal south of the covered bridge. County officials say the road was closed while crews made repairs to the warning portal.. And now that repair work has been completed, and the road is now open.
The historic covered bridge itself was not damaged.
