The Frederick Police Department along with our community partners host National Night Out on the first Tuesday in August. Residents are encouraged to leave their homes, lock their doors, turn their front porch lights on and spend the evening outside with neighbors and the Frederick Police Department.
National Night Out was designed to promote community-police partnerships; crime, drug and violence prevention; safety; and neighborhood unity. Last year’s National Night Out campaign involved over 38 million people, law enforcement agencies, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations and local officials from over 16,000 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases worldwide.
National Night Out is an annual community building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live. Together, we are making that happen.
