Large Quantities Of Illegal Drugs Confiscated During Traffic Stop In Frederick

Frederick, Md (KM) A traffic stop on Wednesday in Frederick resulted in a significant drug bust.

Police say they received word from another law enforcement agency that Jerome Mario Britton. 53. was suspected of transporting illegal narcotics into Frederick.

Officers located the Britton’s vehicle, and pulled it over. A police canine named “Smoke” indicated the presence of drugs in the car. Authorities searched the vehicle and found 122 grams of suspected fentanyl, two grams of suspected crack cocaine and 24 grams of suspected marijuana.

Britton was taken into custody, charged with several offenses including possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and cocaine,, and resisting arrest. . He is currently being held without bond at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center
